We are committed to giving you not just attractive smiles, but healthy mouths that look good as you grow older. From teeth whitening to veneers, our cosmetic dentistry options are modern, convenient, and accessible.

Orthodontics
We are one of the few clinics in the area offering a wide range of teeth straightening options: Invisalign, Invisalign Teen, and Six Month Smiles. Dr. Maloley will work to create a customized treatment plan that fits your needs, lifestyle, and budget. Invisalign is recommended for mild to moderate misalignment, while Six Month Smiles is ideal for correcting minor problems in the shortest time possible.

Teeth Whitening
Teeth whitening is one of the easiest and quickest ways to brighten your smile. Professional-strength peroxide is applied to your teeth to remove stains and discoloration. Depending on the whitening method, you can see dramatic results in just one visit. Dr. Maloley offers KöR Deep Bleaching, Opalescence Boost (in-office and at-home), and Trèswhite Supreme whitening systems. Opalescence Boost is perfect if you want white teeth in one visit, while Trèswhite Supreme and Opalescence take-home trays give you the flexibility to whiten your teeth at home.

Porcelain Veneers
Veneers are thin porcelain facings that are bonded to the tooth’s surface. For discoloration that does not respond to whitening treatments or for major imperfections like chips and cracks, porcelain veneers are recommended. Veneers can also close gaps between teeth without using braces.

Depending on your specific needs and the type of veneers you choose, some preparation may be involved. In some cases, a thin layer of enamel must be removed to make room for your veneers. However, thinner veneers can be placed without preparation. At Vail Valley Dental Care, we offer both types of veneers, so you can be sure to find a restorative dentistry solution that fits your needs.

Laser Gum Reshaping
Dr. Maloley uses advanced dental lasers to correct gummy smiles and gum recession, and prepare teeth for dental crowns, veneers, or dental implants. Lasers can remove tissues quickly without causing trauma to healthy structures.

Tooth Bonding
For small chips and uneven spaces between teeth, we can use dental bonding to repair your teeth and even out the spaces. Dental bonding is a tooth-colored resin similar to that used for fillings. Typically, we use dental bonding to aid in orthodontics, but we can also use it for cosmetic restorations.

Dental bonding blends in with the natural color of your teeth, and as it dries, it can be worked and shaped to fit the proportions of your teeth, giving you an evenly spaced, balanced, and harmonious smile.

Tooth Fillings
The last thing you need is for your dental restorations to compromise the aesthetic value of your smile. This can happen when a cavity is repaired with silver-colored amalgam fillings. Here at Vail Valley Dental Care, we use tooth-colored composite fillings that repair your teeth, but leave them looking naturally beautiful.

If you already have some silver-colored fillings from old restorations, we can safely remove those unsightly fillings and replace them with tooth-colored ones. You do not have to sacrifice aesthetics for oral health. Dr. Maloley can provide both!

Teeth Contouring and Crown Lengthening
Sometimes healthy teeth can be out of proportion to the other teeth in your mouth, making your smile uneven and awkward. In this case, Dr. Maloley can physically reshape your teeth to give you a harmonious and aesthetically pleasing smile.

When a tooth is longer than it should be, Dr. Maloley will gently remove a small amount of enamel from the top of the tooth, just enough to bring into proportion with the rest of your teeth. And when they are too short, he will perform a crown lengthening procedure. This involves temporarily displacing gum tissue to make room for a prosthetic tooth restoration.

If you have too much gum showing when you smile, also known as gummy smile, we can perform gum recontouring to reduce the amount of gum, thus improving your smile. We use a laser for gum recontouring treatment, so there will be little to no pain or bleeding, and very little healing time.
